Your customers are online. Are you?

I build the online presence small businesses are missing — a real website, a Google listing that shows up, and systems that answer the phone when you can't. No jargon, no agency runaround, no monthly retainer for work you can't see.

The Real Problem

Most small businesses aren't losing to competitors.
They're losing to being invisible.

Someone in your area needs exactly what you sell. They pick up their phone, they search, and you don't come up. Not because you're not good — because nothing about you is where they're looking.

7 in 10No website at all

I went through the published business directory for a rural valley in Santa Barbara County and counted. Roughly seven out of every ten listed businesses have no website — not a bad one, none. Most have no Google Business Profile either.

The number is starker in a small town, but the problem isn't a small-town problem. Plenty of good businesses in Ojai, Ventura, and Carpinteria are running on a Facebook page and word of mouth, and quietly losing the customer who searched instead of asked. It's fixable in an afternoon, for less than most people expect.

What I Do

Four things, done properly

You don't need all of it. Most people start with one and add the next when the first one starts paying for itself.

Package One

Get Found

So that when somebody searches, you exist.
  • A simple, fast website that works on a phone
  • Single-page landing pages for one offer or promotion
  • Google Business Profile setup & optimization
  • Local search basics — hours, photos, service area, map pin
  • Getting your name, address, and phone consistent everywhere
Best if: you've got no website, or one you're embarrassed to send people to.
Package Two

Never Miss a Customer

The one that quietly makes you the most money.
  • Missed-call text back — every unanswered call gets a text in seconds
  • AI voice receptionist that answers, screens, and books
  • Automatic follow-up so leads don't go cold in your inbox
  • Review requests sent after every job, on autopilot
  • One inbox for texts, Facebook messages, and web form leads
Best if: you work with your hands and can't stop to answer the phone.
Package Three

Look The Part

Because people judge the flyer before they judge the work.
  • Logo and basic brand kit — colors, fonts, a look that's yours
  • Flyers, brochures, menus, business cards, signage files
  • Ad creatives and social graphics you can actually reuse
  • Proposals, contracts, estimates, and presentations that close
  • Photo cleanup and editing for your listings and posts
Best if: your work is better than your materials make it look.
Package Four

Behind The Scenes

Twenty years of running the back office, pointed at yours.
  • Bookkeeping support, spreadsheets, and reporting that makes sense
  • Document preparation, forms, mailing lists, and filing systems
  • Nonprofit & grant administration support
  • Property management admin — listings, tenant paperwork, records
  • AI consulting and one-on-one training for you or your staff
Best if: the paperwork is eating the time you'd rather spend working.
How It Works

Three steps. No surprises.

1

We talk

Twenty minutes, on the phone or over coffee. You tell me what's not working. I tell you straight whether I can help — and if I can't, I'll say so.

2

You get a flat number

One price, in writing, before anything starts. Not an hourly rate that grows while you wait. If the scope changes, we talk about it first.

3

I build it and hand you the keys

You own everything — the domain, the accounts, the logins. I'll show you how it works. Stay on for support if you want it, or don't.

Who You're Hiring

A neighbor who happens to be good at this

I spent more than twenty years in nonprofit business administration — budgets, grants, boards, systems, and the unglamorous work of making an organization actually run. I grew up on this coast — Carpinteria and Ojai — and I've spent my life between the coast and the valleys inland. These are my towns.

For the last several years I've worked for myself, and what I kept running into was the same thing over and over: capable people with good businesses, losing work to somebody less capable with a better website. That gap is not a talent problem. It's a nobody-showed-me problem.

I'd rather explain it to you plainly than make it sound complicated so you'll keep paying me.

You will not get a sales pitch from me. You'll get an honest read on what's worth doing, what isn't, and what you can do yourself for free. That's a slower way to build a business. It's also the only way I'm interested in building one.

Live in the Cuyama Valley?

I also help neighbors with everyday computer, phone, and paperwork problems — not just businesses. Printers, forms, email, online applications, whatever it is. Hay ayuda en español.

Questions people actually ask

What does this cost?
It depends entirely on what you need, and I'd rather quote you honestly than post a number that's wrong for your situation. Here's my promise instead: the first conversation is free, you get one flat price in writing before any work starts, and I will never send you a bill you didn't agree to. Small jobs are genuinely small. Ask.
I already have a Facebook page. Isn't that enough?
It's a good start, and it's not enough. A Facebook page only reaches people who already follow you or stumble across a post. When someone pulls out their phone and searches for what you do, Google decides who they see — and it heavily favors businesses with a website and a claimed Google Business Profile. Those two things are usually the highest-return afternoon of work a small business can do.
I'm not technical at all. Is that going to be a problem?
No — it's most of my clients. You don't need to understand any of it. My job is to handle the technical part and then explain what I did in normal words, once, without making you feel stupid. If you want to learn it, I'll teach you. If you never want to think about it again, that's fine too.
What area do you cover?
Ojai, Ventura, Carpinteria, and Santa Barbara are home ground — I grew up on that stretch of coast and most of the people I know are still there. I also work inland through the Santa Ynez and Cuyama Valleys and up to Santa Maria. Honestly, though, nearly all of this works just as well over the phone and email, so distance matters a lot less than it used to. If you're further out, ask anyway.
What if I only need one small thing?
Then let's do one small thing. Plenty of my work is a single flyer, one spreadsheet that keeps breaking, or forty-five minutes of getting a Google listing claimed. There's no minimum and no pressure to buy a package.
¿Habla español? Do you work in Spanish?
I'm not fluent, and I won't pretend to be. What I can do is work with you in Spanish using translation tools, take my time, and make sure we both understand each other before anything gets submitted or signed. Plenty of people have gotten what they needed this way. Más información en español aquí.
Will I own my website, or are you holding it hostage?
You own it. The domain goes in your name, the accounts are yours, and you get every login. If you ever want to move to somebody else or take it over yourself, you can walk away with everything. I think that should be standard, and I'm always a little annoyed that it isn't.
